Who doesn’t love chocolate? Kevin Roblee has always had a passion for chocolate as many of us can claim, but he has taken it to a whole new level. For 9 years, he traveled the world taking on roles in chocolate product development, production and quality. During his career as a chocolatier, Kevin was made privy to the guarded secrets for making such loved candies and Reese’s peanut butter cups, M & M’s and Oreos. He will be at GEPL on Thursday, May 17 at 7 pm to talk about his passion.
Kevin spent a year in Scandinavia studying the ways of European chocolate production. He also spent several years on the East Coast working at the oldest operating chocolate plant in the country, established in 1897. It was there that he participated in a development effort for Newman’s Own brand, helping to create one of the first organic chocolates made in the United States.
In his program, Kevin will talk about how to taste chocolate, explore different chocolate-producing regions’ flavors and geography, and how to pair wine with chocolate. Register online for this sweet program!
