On December 19, The Glen Ellyn Public Library introduces its new Job Seeker Series, offering programs and services to enhance the community’s employment marketability and increase job opportunities.
On December 19, the library offers Job Searching Online from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Computer Lab on the second floor. Attendees will learn efficient job searching strategies to streamline their job search and how to create a professional and engaging resume.
On January 8 and February 12, the Glen Ellyn Public Library will offer free 30-minute one-on-one sessions with a JVS career counselor who will review resumes, ask potential interview questions, explore career change options, and discuss the current job market. Individuals can register for a free session by calling the adult services desk at 630-790-6630.
On January 30, the library offers LinkedIn: Your Professional Image from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Meeting Room on the library’s first floor. Attendees will learn how to take charge of the world’s largest professional network and how to network with useful contacts to gain a job interview.
