Stacks of books waiting for book club members to pick them up.Are you interested in starting a book club? Maybe you’re already in one but aren’t sure what to read next. The Glen Ellyn Public Library serves over 60 private book clubs in Glen Ellyn, and with advance notice, we can provide your group with books (including audiobooks) and discussion toolkits to help inspire great discussions!

As Readers’ Advisory Librarian, I am excited to offer book recommendations as well as online resources. Our Adult Department webpage has lists of current and past award winners, the library’s most popular titles from last year, books by genre and subject, and the most commonly requested titles from local book clubs.

Even if you’re not in a book club, here are some great websites that can get you connected with other readers:

Stop by the second floor and see what we have on display, learn about what other local book clubs are reading, and ask a librarian to show you GEPL’s fantastic book database, NoveList. Whatever your reading interests, the Adult Department staff is here to help!
