Youth Department Librarian
Part Time
14 hours per week – morning and/or afternoon weekday hours and Sunday rotation

Are you an enthusiastic and customer-service oriented librarian with a passion for encouraging curiosity and creativity through library programs and experiences? Do you possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working with children of all ages and their caregivers? Are you a team player who is looking for a challenging and collaborative work environment? If so, the Youth Department at the Glen Ellyn Public Library is for you!

Primary duties and responsibilities of this position include working with the public at the Youth Department desk, collection development of the juvenile fiction collection, and assisting with youth programming and outreach.

Requirements: Must have an MLS from an ALA-accredited library school; must have at least one year of professional experience in a library setting; must have at least one year of experience working with children in a library setting or related field.

Starting salary $19.21 DOQ

Part-time Help Wanted – Shelver
12 hours per week
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 12-4

We are looking for a friendly, responsible person to return items to the shelves. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel and move fully loaded wheeled carts. Candidate must have the ability to arrange materials in alphabetical and numerical order. Effective verbal communication skills are essential.

Minimum age is 16 years old. Basic keyboarding skills are necessary.

Starting pay is $8.25 an hour. Applications are available at the Circulation Desk.
