Employment Opportunities


The Youth Services Department of the Glen Ellyn Public Library seeks a part-time Youth Programming Associate to start August 23. Our busy department serves children from birth through 8th grade and their caregivers.

Main duties will be to assist patrons of all ages at the Youth Reference desk, and assist with storytimes and preschool outreach. This position is 16 hours per week. The typical schedule will be Tuesday-Friday from 9-1, but may include evenings and weekends. There are no benefits such as paid leave or insurance. Rate is $14.13 per hour.

Requirements include a college degree or nearing completion, and experience working with preschool children. The successful candidate is creative, has a working knowledge of current library technology, has a positive, outgoing personality, and is service-oriented.
