High School Summer Volunteer Program
June 12, 2016 – August 3, 2016
High school age teens are encouraged to join GEPL’s High School Summer Volunteer Program!
To volunteer, you must be 14-18 years old, going into grades 9-12. Responsibilities include administrative and clerical tasks, writing blog entries for The Teen Scene, creating digital content and more! Volunteers must commit to a two hour shift once a week, as well as help with special events and programs. Summer is a busy time, so please let us know about any planned vacations or other commitments as soon as possible. The program will run from June 12, 2016 through August 3, 2016.
Applications are accepted through June 30, 2016. Fill out the High School Summer Volunteer Application and email the completed application to Josh O’Shea, Young Adult Librarian at firstname.lastname@example.org. Or drop the completed application off at the 2nd Floor Information Desk. Volunteers will be asked to either meet with Josh or attend an orientation before beginning their volunteer hours. Staff look forward to working with you, and appreciate your interest in helping the library!
