Homebound Service: Bringing the Library To You
Are you unable to visit the library due to a permanent or temporary disability? Do you love to visit the library, but are not able to because you are taking care of a family member? Or,you may be in a circumstance that makes it difficult for you to get to the library as often as you would like.
LET THE LIBRARY COME TO YOU!!!
If you are homebound, and currently live in the Village of Glen Ellyn, we can bring the library to your home. The Glen Ellyn Public Library delivers materials to your residence free of charge. If you prefer to have a friend or family member pick up the materials, we can arrange for this type of service. Volunteers are also available to make deliveries.
The best part is that even though a library card is needed to take advantage of this service, it is not necessary for you to come to the library. A representative from the library can visit your home to gather the information that is needed. Also, no fines are charged for late materials. Additional items may not be checked out until the former materials are returned.
