Snaphot: One Day in the Life of Illinois Libraries
On Wednesday, February 10, 2010 the Glen Ellyn Library participated in this state wide event. The day started unexpectedly at 4:00 a.m. with a 3.8 earthquake. After the library opened at 9:00 a.m we collected statistics, comments and photographs of the activity in the library that day.

We had 786 visitors to the library that day.
84 people used public computers.
20 people used wifi.
There were 120 reference questions.
76 children participated in storyhours.
4 adults participated in book discussion.
There were 1779 items checked out.
783 people visited our web site.
A whiteboard was set up in the lobby so people could write a comment about why they came to the library that day.
