Teen Scene Opens at the Glen Ellyn Public Library
This remodeled room for teens opened with a ribbon cutting on November 8, 2008. Local residents Dan and Midge Anderson kicked off the fundraising for this room by donating a matching grant of $17,500 to the Glen Ellyn Library Foundation. It is because of their generosity and the contributions of many others that over $35,000 were raised making this area possible. The second floor space is dedicated to high school age students looking for a place to study, work on projects and or just browse the young adult books collection. There are also laptops available with filtered Internet for teens to use in the Library. Stop by to see this fun new spot.

Testimonial:
"Helping fund construction and furnishing of the Glen Ellyn Library's teen room was one of the most rewarding projects we've ever been part of. The very idea of a teen room at the library appealed to us immediately, and the proposed location in the turret was icing on the cake. The best part for us, however, has been the enthusiasm and appreciation expressed by so many people--teens, parents of teens, board members, and library personnel. It was truly a gift that kept on giving."
