Winter Storytimes: January 8 through February 17

Storytimes are “so much more than books” at the Glen Ellyn Public Library!

The Glen Ellyn Public Library offers a variety of storytimes for children starting at birth. During librarian-led programs that incorporate stories, songs, movement, rhymes, and other storytime activities, your child will learn to love reading and the library.

Winter Storytimes Begin January 8 and Run Through February 17.

It’s never too early to start reading to your baby! This interactive program features stories, songs, bubbles, and playtime.

Limited to the first 20 children to request a nametag.

Toddler Tales 18 to 36 months
With Parent/Caregiver
Mondays @ 10:30 am
Tuesdays @ 9:30 am
Enjoy stories, songs, movement, and activities designed just for toddlers.

Limited to the first 25 children to request a nametag.

Preschool Pages 3-5
Children Attend Independently
Tuesdays @ 10:30 am
Wednesdays @ 9:30 am
Combining learning and play, preschoolers will have fun while developing early literacy skills. Enjoy longer books with more advanced concepts, games, and activities related to an academic theme.

Limited to first 20 children to request a nametag.

After School Stories 4-8
Children Attend Independently
Wednesdays @ 4:00 pm Children are invited to explore, create, and listen to stories. Books and activities will be paired around a specific theme that changes each week.

Limited to first 25 children to request a nametag.

Family Storytime All Ages
With Parent/Caregiver
Tuesdays @ 7 pm
Wednesdays and Fridays @ 10:30 am
Saturdays @ 11 am

Nature-Telling: Hibernation
Monday, December 4 | 10-10:30 am
Join a naturalist from Lincoln Marsh Natural Area to listen to the nature-themed story A Bed for Winter by Karen Wallace. Learn how animals prepare for winter and create your own sleeping critter to take home. For ages 2-5. Reserve your spot.

Bilingual Storytime (Hora de Cuentos Bilingüe)
Saturdays | December 16, January 6, February 24 | 11-11:30 am
Enjoy fun books, poems, songs, and finger plays around a different monthly theme in both English and Spanish! All ages welcome.

Nature-Telling: Spiders
Monday, February 26 | 10-10:30 am
Join a naturalist from Lincoln Marsh Natural Area to listen to the nature-themed story Aaaaarrgghh Spider! by Lydia Monks. Discover what makes spiders superheroes and create your own jumping spider to take home. For ages 2-5. Reserve your spot.
