Fall Storytimes: September 11 through October 21
Storytimes are “so much more than books” at the Glen Ellyn Public Library!
The Glen Ellyn Public Library offers a variety of storytimes for children starting at birth. During librarian-led programs that incorporate stories, songs, movement, rhymes, and other storytime activities, your child will learn to love reading and the library.
Fall Storytimes Begin September 11 and Run Through October 21.

|Thursdays @ 9:30 am & 10:30 am||It’s never too early to start reading to your baby! This interactive program features stories, songs, bubbles, and playtime.
Limited to the first 20 children to request a nametag.
|Toddler Tales||18 to 36 months
|Mondays and Tuesdays @ 9:30 am||Enjoy stories, songs, movement, and activities designed just for toddlers.
Limited to the first 25 children to request a nametag.
Children Attend Independently

Wednesdays @ 9:30 am
|Combining learning and play, preschoolers will have fun while developing early literacy skills. Enjoy longer books with more advanced concepts, games, and activities related to an academic theme.
Limited to first 20 children to request a nametag.
|After School Stories||4-8
Children Attend Independently
|Wednesdays @ 4:00 pm||Children are invited to explore, create, and listen to stories. Books and activities will be paired around a specific theme that changes each week.
Limited to first 25 children to request a nametag.

Join a naturalist from Lincoln Marsh Natural Area to listen to a nature-themed story, Wonderful Worms by Linda Glaser, and interact with live earthworms. For kids ages 2-5. Reserve your spot.
They Keep Us Safe: Our Local Heroes
Monday, October 23 | 10:30-11 am
Glen Ellyn police officers and firefighters will read books on police officers, firefighters, and safety. Kids will also get a close up look at their uniforms and equipment. For kids of all ages.
Hispanic Heritage Celebration
(Hora de Cuentos y manualidad de la Herencia Hispana)
Friday, September 15 | 10-10:30 am
Celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans through song and stories, such as Tito Puente, Mambo King by Monica Brown. Make your own pair of maracas to take home. For kids of all ages.

Bilingual Storytime (Hora de Cuentos Bilingüe)

Join us for fun books, poems, songs, and finger plays about the human body in both English and Spanish. All ages welcome.

Monday, November 20 | 10-10:30 am
Join a naturalist from Lincoln Marsh Natural Area to listen to a nature-themed story, Bird, Butterfly, Eel by James Prosek. Create your own pinecone bird feeder to take home. For kids ages 2-5. Reserve your spot.
