Spring Storytimes: April 9 through May 19

Storytimes are “so much more than books” at the Glen Ellyn Public Library!

The Glen Ellyn Public Library offers a variety of storytimes for children starting at birth. During librarian-led programs that incorporate stories, songs, movement, rhymes, and other storytime activities, your child will learn to love reading and the library.

Spring Storytimes Begin April 9 and Run Through May 19.

It’s never too early to start reading to your baby! This interactive program features stories, songs, bubbles, and playtime.

Limited to the first 20 children to request a nametag.

Toddler Tales 18 to 36 months

Mondays @ 10:30 am
Tuesdays @ 9:30 am
Enjoy stories, songs, movement, and activities designed just for toddlers.

Limited to the first 25 children to request a nametag.

Preschool Pages 3-5
Children Attend Independently

Wednesdays @ 9:30 am
Combining learning and play, preschoolers will have fun while developing early literacy skills. Enjoy longer books with more advanced concepts, games, and activities related to an academic theme.

Limited to first 20 children to request a nametag.

Family Storytime All Ages

Wednesdays and Fridays @ 10:30 am

Enjoy fun books, poems, songs, and finger plays around a different monthly theme in both English and Spanish! All ages welcome.

Nature-Telling: Salamanders
Monday, March 26 | 10-10:30 am
A naturalist from Lincoln Marsh Natural Area will read The Salamander Room by Anne Mazer. You might even get to meet a salamander in person! For ages 2-5. Limited to the first 16 children to ask for a nametag. Reserve your spot.

 

Nature-Telling: Flowers
Monday, May 21 | 10-10:30 am
Join a naturalist from Lincoln Marsh Natural Area to listen to the nature-themed story Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert. See what’s blooming and make some of your own flowers to take home. For ages 2-5. Limited to the first 16 children to ask for a nametag. Reserve your spot.

Follow the Rainbow!
Tuesday-Thursday May 22-24 | 9:30-10 am and 10:30-11 am

Listen to a variety of rainbow books, including A Rainbow of My Own by Don Freeman. Make your own rainbow to take home. For ages 2-6.
