Storytimes at the Library

Storytimes are “so much more than books” at the Glen Ellyn Public Library!

The Glen Ellyn Public Library offers a variety of storytimes for children starting at birth. During librarian-led programs that incorporate stories, songs, movement, rhymes and other storytime activities, your child will learn to love reading and the library.

Spring Storytimes Run April 3 through May 13.

Book Babies Birth to 24 Months
With Parent/Caregiver
Thursdays @ 9:30 and 10:30 am It’s never too early to start reading to your baby! This interactive program features stories, songs, bubbles and playtime.

Limited to the first 20 children to request a nametag.

Toddler Tales 18 to 36 months
With Parent/Caregiver
Mondays and Tuesdays @ 9:30 am Enjoy stories, songs, movement and activities designed just for toddlers.

Limited to the first 25 children to request a nametag.

Preschool Pages 3-5
Children Attend Independently
Tuesdays @ 10:30 am
Wednesdays @ 9:30 am
Combining learning and play, preschoolers will have fun while developing early literacy skills. Enjoy longer books with more advanced concepts, games and activities related to an academic theme.

Limited to first 20 children to request a nametag.

After School Stories 4-8
Children Attend Independently
Wednesdays @ 4:00 pm Children are invited to explore, create and listen to stories. Books and activities will be paired around a specific theme that changes each week.

Limited to first 25 children to request a nametag.

Family Storytime All Ages
With Parent/Caregiver
Mondays and Wednesdays @ 10:30 am
Tuesdays @ 7 pm
Saturdays @ 11 am
Drop-in for books, music, storytelling and more.
Sensory Stortyime 3-8
With Parent/Caregiver
2nd Saturday of the Month @ 9:30 am This interactive storytime is adapted for children with Autism or other special needs. It features books, activities and music designed to engage the senses, with part of each session reserved for sensory play and socialization.

Children of all abilities, families and siblings are encouraged to attend. Reserve your spot for Sensory Storytime.
