Did you know that the library has American Girl dolls? I know! I was excited, too. I love the American Girl books and am thrilled about the dolls being available for checkout, as well. I recently borrowed the Samantha playpack for my 4-year-old daughter. To say she was excited is an understatement. She had so much fun playing and making up stories with Samantha. Dolls are such a natural part of play as kids take on the role of mommy or daddy, sister, brother, babysitter, etc. It’s fascinating to watch their imaginations take off.
The library also has Logan and Luciana available. Logan is a contemporary drummer and bandmate to Tenney, another American Girl. Luciana is one of my absolute favorites—she goes to space camp! How cool is that?
Each playpack includes the doll, a change of clothes, a few accessories, a book, and a notebook so your child can include a story or picture about their adventures for others to read. So, if your kids already love the American Girl books or may want to read them soon, be sure to Check the Library! Don’t forget to log their reading and playtime for points toward the Game On! Summer Challenge.
