You rocked our Game On! Summer Challenge. It ended and school began. Now what?
The Youth Department at the Glen Ellyn Public Library offers two reading clubs geared toward different age groups.
The first, 1K Club, runs year-round and is for children from birth through preschool who have not yet entered kindergarten. Kids are challenged to read 1,000 books before entering kindergarten and log books in increments of 100. Once you finish, be sure to come in for a picture and a sticker!
Our second reading club, Patch Club, is geared toward students in kindergarten through 8th grade and runs annually from October to April. Students earn a patch for every 4 hours of reading they log and get a tote bag to collect their patches, which change monthly and correspond to different genres of books.
