It’s October, which means people are finding their costumes, painting pumpkins, hanging skeletons, and buying candy.
Although I enjoy parts of Halloween (like the candy), I’m a total scaredy-cat. I detest haunted houses, scary movies, spooky stories, and all things frightening. When I was a kid, I would timidly walk around my neighborhood on Halloween, afraid someone was going to jump out in a scary mask. Basically, I’m a real bundle of fun during October! You’ll find me in my house, reading a not-so-scary book, and drinking tea come the end of this month, thank-you-very-much.
I know there are kids like me, and so for my people, here are a few not-so-scary stories and movies to celebrate Halloween. We’ll also be hosting an Adaptive Halloween Party (click here to reserve your spot) for trick-or-treating practice. Hang in there, friends – the less frightening holidays are on their way!
