(Books) These Days

‘Tis the season! All the top toy lists are out, and while browsing through toys filled with slime or “fart-inspired” scents, I’m asking myself, “What is it with kids these days?!”

However, I remind myself that it’s not really kids these days. When I was a kid, my favorite summer reading theme was B.A.R.F. (Books Are Really Fun). The outrageous humor has always been here. But the next thing you know, I’m calling young people whippersnappers non-ironically and caring if people are on my lawn. It has me not-so-slowly becoming “un-cool.”

Slow down the cruel mistress of time by bringing back some weird memories with these awesome titles from your library:

How to Make a Mystery Smell Balloon

Something Rotten: A Fresh Look at Roadkill

The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish

17 Things I’m Not Allowed to Do Anymore

President Taft is Stuck in the Bath

P is for Pterodactyl: The Worst Alphabet Book Ever; All the Letters that Misbehave and Make Words Nearly Impossible to Pronounce
