Where We ReadPosted: March 8, 2021

Everyone talks about the importance of reading. As a librarian, of course I applaud reading! Reading
- Lowers blood pressure
- Increases vocabulary and comprehension
- Inspires creativity
But sometimes, even with a good book, I just can’t get into reading. Where I’m reading could be hindering me. I don’t have a fireplace in my apartment, but when I have had the opportunity to read by the fire, it was the best ever.
Do you usually fall asleep when you read? If you read in bed, don’t be surprised if that happens.
Maybe try reading
- By a window
- At a beach
- On a train
I read on the train a lot, because I ride the train four times a day! I have to be careful not to miss my stop if I’m engrossed in a book.
If you’re having trouble getting into the book you’re reading, try reading in a different place, at a different time. It might make a huge difference!
Stay safe and awesome and see you next time, thank you!
