Does a long day of school leave you drained? Looking back at my middle school days more than 30 years ago, all the learning and processing new information was taxing. After school at times, I would do an extracurricular activity – and I can’t forget homework. Yikes! Somehow, I got through it, and you can too.
Does it get easier? I enjoy my job immensely, but at times need an energy boost of some sort. Here are some great natural ways to revive yourself.
- Get those zzzzzzz. You might roll your eyes at this because you don’t have time to sleep. Somehow make the time. Look at your schedule and see what can be moved around to accommodate this.
- Move it, move it. No need to run a mile, but a 10-minute walk might be just what you need. When you have to hunker down and study, get comfortable, but when you’re too comfortable, move around, stretch, and go for that walk or even a bike ride.
- Gulp that water. If you can’t remember the last time you drank some water, you most likely need some. Dehydration can affect your mood and energy levels. Drink up!
Going for a walk around the library especially when the weather is nice will give me that energy I need. If the weather isn’t the best, just walking inside and up and down the stairs a few times will work too. When you see me, ask how my energy is doing!
Thanks for reading! Stay safe and awesome until next time.
