Permanent Full-Time Outreach Librarian
Are you looking for a library where you can make a difference, and put your ideas about outreach into practice? At the Glen Ellyn Public Library our many librarians work together across departments to help each other make things happen. We bend over backwards to make our members happy. We stay current with what is happening in the library world, technology, and Glen Ellyn. As an enthusiastic, motivated Outreach Librarian, you will create and oversee programs and services for the underserved and adults with special needs within the community. You will be passionate about customer service and enjoy meeting the needs of all of our members by providing reference and readers’ advisory service on our busy Information Desk using a variety of print and digital resources. You will assist our members with ebook, internet and computer tasks, and develop several areas of our collection. You will have a great sense of humor, an appreciation for the printed word, and you will embrace technological innovation. If you have an inquiring mind, lots of ideas, and a willingness to do what needs to get done, then you need to apply!
