Tuesday 4:30 – 9 pm
Thursday 6 – 9 pm
Every second Sunday Noon – 5 pm
Monday 9 am – 1 pm
Thursday 9 am – 1 pm
Every second Saturday 9 am – 1 pm
Every Sunday Noon – 5 pm
Starting pay is $8.25 an hour.

Previous library and/or customer service experience is desired.
Starting salary: $10.76 per hour. Benefits include paid sick and vacation time. This position also qualifies for inclusion in IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement fund).

The Glen Ellyn Public Library is seeking an outgoing and enthusiastic substitute to provide excellent customer service at both the youth and adult public service desks. The successful candidate must enjoy working with all ages, be highly reliable, and possess good interpersonal and communication skills. A sense of humor and lots of energy are essential. Duties may include reference and readers’ advisory, assistance with digital devices, passport services, outreach events, and programming.
Hours: Average 4-8 hours scheduled per week, plus additional substitute shifts as needed. Some evening and weekend availability required.
Salary: $16.06-$24.10/hour, depending on qualifications.
