3D Print Request
Visitors may use the library 3D printers, which melt PLA plastic filament to create paper-thin layers that build professional-quality, high-resolution 3D objects from digital designs. This service is subject to the library’s 3D Printing Policy.
Guidelines
– Priority will be given to Glen Ellyn Public Library cardholders.
– 3D printing costs 5 cents per gram of filament used. Youth between the ages of 8 and 14 may print for free.
Specifications

– Items are printed in a single color. You may submit color preferences, but filament color is based on availability.
– Staff will not remove the required supports and rafts after printing.
– Staff reserve the right to refuse print requests.
– Printing may take up to two weeks.
– The library is not responsible for failed 3D prints.
