As part of the Veteran Oral History Project, the library collects, preserves, and makes accessible the first-hand recollections of U.S. military veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand what they saw, did, and felt during their service. Interviews will be coordinated, edited, and made available to the public on the library’s YouTube channel by library staff. If desired, the library will facilitate the submission of interviews to the Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress .
