This is yet another amazing book by the talented Nicola Yoon (author of The Sun is Also a Star). We tried to read this book without any expectations and we were pleasantly surprised. There is definitely more than meets the eye with this novel – that’s all we can say without spoiling too much. Just be prepared for some heartfelt twists within the plot.
Speaking of the plot, this book seems like a cute love story between a girl and a boy – with a lot of dancing in between. But trust us, the storyline is a lot more complex and intricate. We simply fell in love with the characters, both of whom had opposing personalities! This made the novel so much more interesting – it truly depicts the concept of “opposites attract.”
This book will make you feel equal amounts of joy and sadness. We will say that this story is unlike anything Yoon has written – it’s very bittersweet. We definitely recommend this book to people looking for a quick and easy read – just make sure to have a box of tissues nearby!
