The library is looking for volunteers to share their experiences of prejudice and/or discrimination based on race, religion, sexual preference, class, gender identity, disability, or another aspect of their lives. On Saturday, May 6 from Noon to 4 pm, the library will host A Human Library. Participants will be able to register for hour-long sessions to browse book descriptions and “check out” “Books” – community members who have volunteered to share their experiences.
If you would be willing to apply, be trained, and share your experiences live with other members of the community as a “book,” please complete the A Human Library volunteer form. If you have any questions regarding A Human Library, please contact J-nine Vaughn.
