Thirty lucky Glen Ellyn seniors took home a free Acer Chromebook last Wednesday!
Funded by PLA Digital Literacy Workshop Incentive, supported by AT&T , Glen Ellyn Public Library’s Digital Skills for Seniors program covered topics like Getting Started on a Computer and Using a Search Engine, Using Email, and Being Safe Online: Accounts and Passwords, Online Fraud and Scams, and Internet Privacy.
“It’s so nice for the library to put on a program like this that makes me feel like I can still learn these new things. I’m excited to e-mail my grandson!”
People who did not attend the program can also take advantage of the program materials and lessons at digitallearn.org .
One of the program participants commented, “I felt the library did a great job with this class and making us aware of all the resources the library offers to the public. Thank you!”
