The Community Cupboard in the library lobby helps support the unmet needs of members of the Glen Ellyn community. To make this effort sustainable, we need your help!
Is your Scout troop, school, religious organization, outreach program, or club looking for a community service opportunity? The library is asking Glen Ellyn organizations and businesses to sponsor the cupboard for a month. Monthly sponsorship can be at the level of $150, $200, or $250. Donations can either be monetary or in-kind.
Available items change frequently, but currently include mittens, socks, hygiene, and other seasonal items. Since the Community Cupboard in the library lobby opened its doors on August 14, 2022, it has provided more than
- 2000 tubes of one ounce to full size tubes of toothpaste
- 1000 individually-packaged toothbrushes
- 3000 diapers
- 2000 pairs of adult socks
Month-long sponsors will be recognized on the sign in the library that identifies the Community Cupboard during their sponsorship month. For your convenience, items on our Amazon Wish List can be shipped directly to the library. Your organization can also donate via PayPal .
