The library is so grateful to the Glen Ellyn community for its support!
The mission of Glen Ellyn Public Library is to serve the community as a vibrant center for accurate information, robust learning, and personal discovery, and public funding has helped to make Glen Ellyn Public Library one of the preeminent libraries in the State of Illinois.
Although the library takes pride in its achievements and the services it currently provides, there are always additional resources and programs that could benefit the Glen Ellyn community. People have asked how else they can support the library and its mission. The Glen Ellyn Library Foundation exists to bridge the financial gap between publicly-funded library services and all the experiences that library staff want to deliver to the community.
Donor gifts touch many lives at Glen Ellyn Public Library—young people studying and congregating in the High School room, neighbors learning, exploring, and creating in The Workshop, and children discovering the wonders of storytelling and reading through the Short Story Dispenser. All these projects were funded substantially through contributions to the Glen Ellyn Library Foundation.
