On Tuesday, March 10, the library celebrated Karen Christiansen, Library Services Assistant Director and Technology Specialist, who was named 2025 Glen Ellyn Community Awards Library Employee of the Year!
Hosted by the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce, the Glen Ellyn Community Awards recognizes who and what makes Glen Ellyn wonderful. Each year, honorees are determined by nominations submitted through a publicly accessible form on the Chamber website.
Executive Director Dawn Bussey was quick to sing Karen’s praises: “Karen consistently brings creativity, heart, and a positive spirit to the organization. She has a wonderful ability to think of fun and meaningful ideas that bring people together, and she puts great care into making sure every detail comes together successfully.”
