As we launch another season of summer reading at Glen Ellyn Public Library, we want to pause for a moment of sincere thanks.
Each summer, the library kicks off summer reading with the Ice Cream Social, gratefully funded by the Friends of the Library. This summer, the Friends will also sponsor the library’s Storytime in the Park series of programs. In 2025, the Friends donated $70,000 to supplement the library’s annual budget for materials, programs, and literacy initiatives in the local community!
The library is delighted to share that Glen Ellyn Library Foundation will fund the full cost of 2026 Summer Reading! This support allows the library to continue to offer a high-quality experience while ensuring that the program remains free and welcoming to everyone. The Foundation’s investment reflects a shared belief that access to reading and learning opportunities strengthens our community. Their sponsorship helps us encourage reading, discovery, and connections across all ages throughout the summer.
