Enclosed study rooms are available in the Youth and Adult departments. Groups of more than eight should Reserve a Meeting Room.
Adult Department Study Rooms
- Seven (7) small rooms for groups of one to four people are available to high school students, adults, or younger children who are accompanied by an adult on a first-come, first-served basis. Library staff will impose a two-hour time limit when there is a wait list. Please check in at the 2nd Floor Information Desk with a photo ID.
- The Shakespeare room, for groups of five to eight people, is available to GEPL cardholders in good standing with an advance reservation. Same day reservations cannot be accommodated. The individual who made the reservation must be present at the event and check in with their GEPL card. Cardholders may make up to 12 Shakespeare room reservations per calendar year for a maximum of three hours per reservation by visiting or calling the 2nd Floor Information Desk. Reservations can be made six weeks prior to the start of each quarter as outlined below.

Youth Department Study Room
One study room is available on a first-come, first-served basis for children up to grade eight. The Youth Department Study Room is primarily for groups that include children or for activities with children. Library staff will impose a one-hour time limit when there is a wait list. Please check in at the Youth Information Desk.
