The Workshop is a makerspace – a place to create, discover, and learn. Got an idea for a project, or looking for inspiration? Staff in The Workshop can help you get started! Equipment use is free for Glen Ellyn Public Library cardholders, but you might need to purchase materials.
Makerspace laptops and the laminator do not require appointment bookings.
The Workshop has a maximum capacity of eight users. If the maximum capacity is reached, users who do not have an equipment reservation and guests accompanying users with equipment reservations may be asked to step outside.

The Workshop is available to Glen Ellyn Public Library cardholders in good standing who
Use of The Workshop constitutes acceptance of these guidelines and The Workshop User Agreement and Waiver and Release of Liability, regardless of whether a user has signed the agreement.
While in The Workshop, users agree to
*Users of the 3D printer do not need to stay with the machine the entire print time, but they must come and set up the print job.
The library offers materials for purchase with select equipment. Materials will be sold at cost plus shipping. Material availability is not guaranteed, and prices are subject to change. The library does not offer refunds for materials used or for any remnants.
Users may bring in their own materials for use with some machines. Please see the limitations below.
The following supplies must be purchased from The Workshop.
Only American Button Machine supplies may be used with the Button Maker.
Select items will be available for purchase for use with the Epilog Laser.
