Requests for withdrawal or restriction of access to any library material shall be referred to the director of the department in which the material is located. If a discussion with the department director does not result in a satisfactory outcome, they should be referred to the Library Director.
If a discussion with the Library Director does not produce a satisfactory outcome a Request for Reconsideration of Library Materials may be submitted. The Library Director will present Requests for Reconsideration of Library Materials to the Board of Trustees for consideration and the Board will formally notify the requestor as to their action.
Completion and signing of this form identifies a person with specific library materials. As such, the information provided will be kept confidential by Glen Ellyn Public Library.
The determination of the library Board shall be final.
