The library, including The Cafe and The Workshop, will close at 2 pm on Friday, October 17. At 6 pm, the newly Haunted Library will host family-friendly frights on the first floor and scary scenes recommended for age 13 and older on the 2nd floor!

Please note that on Friday, October 17, the drive-up window will remain open until 5 pm for hold pickup, holds will not be available after 5 pm, youth materials will be accessible after 6 pm for checkout only at the self-checkouts with a library card, and 2nd floor services, including computers, copiers, printing, internet access will be unavailable after 2 pm. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Weeding Policy

An up-to-date, attractive, and currently useful collection is maintained through a continual discarding and replacement process. Materials may be discarded when they have outlived their usefulness through one or more of the following factors.

  • Physical deterioration
  • Obsolete information
  • Publication of superior materials on the same subject
  • Lack of use

Additional Weeding criteria are defined by the Collection Development Plans maintained by the Youth and Adult departments.
